Alcoeur Apron's Chicken and Rice Casserole


  • 3 cups chicken, cooked and diced

  • 1 package dry onion soup mix

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

  • 1 can cream of chicken soup

  • 2 1/4 cups milk

  • 3/4 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 2 cups minute rice, uncooked

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Parsley, for garnish (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together except the parsley which is optional for garnish.

  3. Pour into a 9x13 inch casserole dish that has been sprayed with nonstick spray.

  4. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

  5. Remove the foil cover and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. Serve and enjoy!
